Thisyear,Beijingwillbuilditselfintoagardencitybasedontheinitiativesofdevelopingaforestcityacrossitsentireurbanareaanda"citywithmorethan 1,000gardens".ChaoyangDistrict,asoneofthefivegardencitypilotdistricts,willholdthefirstgardenfestivalthroughouttheyearandmeticulouslyimplementthedevelopmentplanofgardencitydemonstrationdistrictsasapriority.
今年，北京市在全域森林城市、“千园之城”建设的基础上，打造花园城市，而朝阳区作为全市5个花园城市试点区之一，将首届花园节贯穿全年，并将花园城市示范区建设工作作为全区重点工作抓实落细。
ChaoyangDistrictwilllaunchspecialthemeactivities,suchastheCherryBlossomCulturalFestivalandChineseRoseCulturalFestival,inBeixiaohePark,DawangjingPark,andotherdemonstrationparksaround"OneGarden,OneFlower,andOneTaste".Ornamentaltreesandshrubswithbeautifulflowersandfoliagehavebeenplantedon15roads,includingHuangquMiddleRoadandJiaohuachangSixthStreet,formingaroadlandscapeof"flowersandfoliagealongtheroad"andaddingariotofcolortothegardencity.
朝阳区将围绕“一园一花一品”主题在北小河公园、大望京公园等示范公园陆续推出樱花文化节、月季文化节等特色主题活动。在黄渠中路、焦化厂六街等15条道路栽植观花观叶乔灌木，形成“一路一花一叶”的道路景观，为花园城市增添斑斓的色彩。
