决策者｜世界空手道联合会主席：亚运会对空手道发展具有举足轻重的意义

亚运会是一项非常重要的赛事，对于空手道和世界空手道联合会的发展具有举足轻重的意义。杭州亚运会是亚运会历史上参赛人数最多、比赛项目最多、总体规模最大的一届，来自亚奥理事会45个成员国家和地区的超过12000名运动员齐聚杭州参加本届赛事。
空手道运动风靡全球。作为一项全球运动，在五大洲有200多个国家级联合会。在亚洲，我们有45个国家和地区成员。空手道经过多年发展，越来越受到观众的追捧与喜爱。一方面，在成为奥运会比赛项目前，空手道的普及性就已经很高。另一方面，在成为奥运会比赛项目后，空手道的普及性进一步提高。许多国家政府和体育主管部门纷纷成立了国家空手道运动联合会。
空手道在2020年东京奥运会上首次亮相。东京奥运会极大地促进了空手道运动的发展。遗憾的是，尽管空手道是法国最受欢迎的武术运动之一，但它却无缘2024年巴黎奥运会。即便如此，世界空手道联合会仍将继续努力提高空手道运动在全球的吸引力，并期待2028年洛杉矶奥运会将空手道列入正式比赛项目。
空手道运动在中国取得了长足发展。我深信，空手道在中国的发展空间巨大。我此次中国之行不仅是为了观看亚运会的空手道比赛，也是为了与中国体育部门进行交流，共商如何携手推广这项运动。
中国是一个组织有序、能力出众的国家。我相信，中国体育部门在这方面做得非常好。他们知道如何做好这项工作。作为世界空手道联合会主席，我将采纳中国政府的建议，研究如何使联合会的工作成为空手道发展的助推器。今年七月在马来西亚马六甲举行的亚洲空手道锦标赛上，我有幸与中国空手道协会进行了富有成效的交流。我期待在杭州进行更多的交流对话。
近年来，中国有许多优秀的空手道运动员在世界级赛事中屡获奖牌。我希望看到他们在亚运会上的精彩表现。空手道运动员的整体水平也在不断提高。亚运会期间，全球空手道运动员齐聚杭州。例如，日本、沙特阿拉伯和伊朗等国运动员的水平在过去几年都有所提高。亚运会空手道比赛将体现高水平的特点，吸引全球观众的目光。
亚运会为不同文化背景的人提供了一个交流平台。通过体育这一共同语言，人们将增进相互理解，携手打造命运共同体。然而，在我看来，运动的“普及性”概念尚未得到足够重视，在这方面应当投入更多的努力。
体育运动在促进人与人之间的和平、团结和包容方面发挥着重要作用。我们期待在杭州见证更多精彩的表现和深入的交流。
TheAsianGamesisaveryimportanteventforkarate'sdevelopmentandtheWorldKarateFederation(WKF).Withall45membersoftheOlympicCouncilofAsiasendingover12,000athletestotheGames,theeventsinHangzhouhavethemostparticipants,mostsports,andlargestoverallscaleinthehistoryoftheAsianGames.
Karateispopularacrosstheworld.Itisauniversalsportwitharound200nationalfederationsaroundfivecontinents.InAsia,wehave45nationalfederationmembers.Karatehasbeenprogressingovertheyearsandisbecomingincreasinglypopularamongaudiences.Ontheonehand,theuniversalityofkarateisnatural,evenwithoutthehelpoftheOlympicrings.Ontheother,theOlympicshavefurtherpromotedtheuniversalityofkarate.GovernmentsandsportsauthoritiesinmanycountrieshavepromotedthecreationofnationalfederationsofOlympicsports.
KaratemadeitsOlympicdebutattheTokyo2020OlympicGames.Tokyo2020hasturnedouttobeacatalystforkarate'sdevelopment.Butregrettably,karate,asoneofthemostpopularmartialartsinFrance,willnotbepartoftheParis2024Games.Despitethisresult,theWKFwillcontinuetoworktoboostkarate'sglobalattractivenessandisanticipatingittobeincludedintheLosAngeles2028Games.
KaratehaswitnessedhugeprogressinChina.IamconvincedthatthepotentialofkarateinChinaishuge.ThereasonsformyChinatriparenotonlytowatchkarateintheAsianGamesbutalsotohaveconversationswithChinesesportsauthoritiestoseehowwecanworktogethertopromotethissport.
Chinaisaverywell-organizedandcompetentcountry.IamconfidentthatChinesesportsauthoritiesaredoingaverygoodjobinthisregard.Theyknowhowtodothisjob.I,astheWKFPresident,willtakethesuggestionsfromChineseauthoritiestoseehowtheworkofthefederationcanbeacatalystforkarate'sdevelopment.IhadtheopportunityintheAsianKarateChampionshipsthattookplaceinMelaka,MalaysiainJulytomeetandhavefruitfulconversationswiththeChineseKarateAssociation.IlookforwardtomoretalksinHangzhou.
Chinahasmanytopkarateathletesgettingmedalsinworld-leveleventsinrecentyears.IamhopefultoseetheirexcellentperformanceintheAsianGames.Thelevelofkarateisgoingupaswell,andtheAsianGamesisbringingtogetherathletesfromacrosstheglobeinHangzhou.Japan,SaudiArabia,andIran,forinstance,haveseentheirlevelsgoingupinthepastyears.TherewillbeveryfruitfulcompetitionduringtheGamesthatwillbeattractivetoglobalspectators.
TheAsianGamesisaplatformwherepeoplefromdifferentculturescancommunicate.Throughtheuniversallanguageofsports,peoplewillhaveachancetohaveabetterunderstandingofeachotherinacommunitywithasharedfuture.However,theconceptofuniversalityissomethingthat,inmyopinion,isnotbeingtakenintoaccountasmuchasitshouldbe.Moreeffortscouldbemadeinthisregard.
Thesports'roleinpromotingpeace,solidarity,andinclusivenessamongpeoplecannotbeoverstated.WelookforwardtoexcellentperformancesandmorecommunicationsinHangzhou.
