NankaiUniversityisoneofthepioneersinofferingB.A,M.AandPh.D. ininsurance,andtakestheleadinactuarialeducationinChina.ItalsoestablishedthefirstActuaryExaminationCenterofSocietyofActuaries(SOA)inChina.InsuranceandactuarialdisciplinesinNankaihavethetraditionofintegratingwiththeindustry.Overtheyears,theyhavebeennotonlymakingpioneeringcontributionstoindustrialpracticebutalsodevelopingfruitfulacademicresearchinvarioussubfields includingbutnotlimitedtoriskmanagementandinsurance,actuarialtheoryandapplication,healthinsuranceandpension,agriculturalinsurance,disasterriskmanagementandcatastropheinsurance.
