加拿大七天传媒：加拿大联邦参议员胡子修祝北京冬奥会圆满成功

中新网1月27日电加拿大七天传媒报道，加拿大联邦参议员胡子修27日致信七天传媒，向海内外侨胞恭贺新春并祝北京冬奥会圆满成功。

胡子修在信中对海内外华人华侨同胞们表示，丑牛辞旧岁，寅虎迎新春。即将到来的农历新年是虎年，虎乃百兽之王，是威武，强壮，勇敢，荣耀的象征。我们华人的新年传统是舞龙舞狮，拜神祭祖，阖家团圆，走亲访友，一起守岁迎接新年的到来。自1788年首批亚裔登陆加拿大西海岸开始，到19世纪70年代，修建加拿大太平洋铁路，其中最困难的一段，穿越险峻的落基山脉的300英里是由伟大的亚裔劳工完成了如此艰巨任务，大批亚裔劳工为此付出了宝贵的生命。现如今，华裔活跃在加拿大的各行各业，为国家经济作出卓越的贡献。

胡子修称，2022年伊始，在亿万海内外华人的热切期盼中，北京冬奥会即将盛大开幕，我在此预祝本届冬奥会圆满成功。国际奥委会宪章中说，每一个人都应享有从事体育运动的可能性，而不受任何形式的歧视。奥运精神是世界和平、友谊长久、团结一致和公平竞争的象征。加拿大是冰雪运动强国，我们的奥运选手正在全力以赴地备战，我代表联邦参议院，祝福运动员在北京赛场上，展示最完美的风采，突破自我，取得优异成绩。

冰雪与烟花齐舞，春节与冬奥同喜。祝福大家新春快乐，幸福吉祥，事事如意，虎虎生威！

AstheLunarNewYearisoneofthemostimportantfestivalsintraditionalAsianculture,itisfarmorethanjustcelebratingthetransitionofzodiacsigns.Mostimportantly,itisacelebrationoffamilyandfriends,atimetoreflectonthepastwhilecontemplatingthefuture.
